Mystery about the Medusa: Last case for inspector Hoffmann!

The new crime thriller "Die Medusa" from the ZDF series "The Dead from Lake Constance" deals with mysterious events around the death of a young woman. The plot is shaped by an old art stone ring and personal conflicts.

In history, the young woman Vera Grimm flees together with a little boy, but is found dead at Lake Constance the next day. Vera had previously brought her older son Augustin to school while her two -year -old son Jannick stayed sick at home. At the scene, the investigators found a buckle of Vera's costume and traces of blood. Forensic doctor Thomas Egger found that Vera had a head injury.

The main characters in the thriller are inspector Luisa Hoffmann and her partner Micha Oberländer. Hoffmann was formerly a covert investigator in an international art stone ring. Her brother -in -law Andreas Löffler, a criminal burglar, is involved in the investigation because his accomplice Dominik Haas broke out of prison and kidnapped Augustin. The kidnapping takes place with the aim of blackmailing a valuable fine gold bust called "Medusa", which was stolen five years ago and was lost by Löffler during a storm in Lake Constance.

The thriller will be broadcast on ZDF on January 13, 2025 at 8:15 p.m. and is already available in the ZDF media library.
