A Christmas miracle in Waidhofen: Students inspire in the city hall!
On Thursday, December 19, the impressive X-MAS show of the BG/BRG Waidhofen/Thaya took place in the crowded city hall of Waidhofen/Thaya, in which over 100 talented students demonstrated their skills. The two teachers Iris Haslinger and Sebastian Senk led through a varied program that ranged from vocal performances to instrumental performances to sporting demonstrations. The sporting part of the show was characterized by an impressive Rope skipping performance, in which Florian Fuchs, Austrian champion in this discipline, demonstrated special skills. The "Kaffekammerlkapelle", a mixed group of students and teachers, presented a charming adaptation of "Have YourSelf a Merry Little Christmas", while the class 5c students performed a creative stomp number that captured the audience.

After the break, the school band surprised with a special homage to the founder Bettina Ledwinka, while an impressive sports demonstration and a appearance by the director Alexander Frank captured the audience again. Frank sang a powerful version of "Happy Christmas" and called for solidarity. A special highlight was the generous donation of 1,000 euros for new musical instruments, which was collected by a punch stand. Under the applause of the audience, the school Big Band ended the evening with "This Christmas" and an encore in which all participants sang "Last Christmas" together.
