With his new "Rio" restaurant in Dornbirn, which opens on time for Christmas Eve, the experienced restaurateur is facing a strong sign against the displacement of life from the city centers. This sum is the highest that Lerch has invested so far, and he rely on a former petrol station building in Lustenau. "The ventilation alone cost me 120,000 euros," said Lerch, who spoils his guests with a mixture of Mexican specialties and steaks. The extraordinary location on the heavily frequented Reichsstrasse, just a stone's throw away from the border to Switzerland, was crucial for Lerch.
