Vacation with the best friend: act promotes travel with pets!
The Thai tourism Authority (TAT) has launched a new initiative to enable pet owners to take their animals with them while traveling. This campaign entitled "Starry Night & Paw Prints" is carried out in collaboration with Pet Friendly Thailand and other partners. The aim of the initiative is to encourage pet owners to take their pets in pet -friendly hotels and resorts in the provinces of Kanchanaburi, Suphan Buri, Rattchaburi and Phetchaburi.
The campaign was presented by Wannapha Kiartwongsa, the director of the Tat-Central Office. As part of the initiative, discounts for animal owners who consider their pets as part of the family are offered. Interested parties can obtain information on offers on the crime website. According to Angsumalin Thephasadin, Pet Friendly Thailand's founder, the campaign aims to promote tourism in the regions involved. There are estimated 12 million pet owners in Thailand, of which around 7.5 million pets accompany their owners while traveling.

A highlight of the campaign will take place on January 18, 2025 when an event is organized from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the NA Pathong Ko campsite in Kanchanaburi. There workshops are offered for tinkering pet toys, a common yoga course for animal owners and their pets as well as training courses for travel preparation with pets.
In addition, PET-Friendly accommodations in Thailand were analyzed, with various hotels being performed for dog and cat owners.
