Duisburg, Deutschland - The Duisburg tour operator Schauinsland-Reisen has completed the 2023/24 financial year with impressive sales of 2.27 billion euros! The company recorded an increase in the number of guests to 1.935 million, which corresponds to growth of three percent compared to the previous year. In a challenging market environment, which is characterized by the bankruptcy of the competitor FTI, Schauinsland-Reisen managed to increase its turnover by 5.6 percent. The sales level is now 65 percent above the stand before corona pandemic!

The continuing popularity of package tours and a flourishing last-minute business have made a significant contribution to this success. The Canaries, Greece, Turkey and Egypt are among the most sought -after travel destinations. However, smaller destinations such as Morocco are also enjoying growing popularity, since the company has expanded its offer in the affordable 3- and 4-star segment. CEO Gerald Kassner emphasizes: "We also want to address price -conscious travelers and offer comprehensive service from a single source."

strategic changes and expansion

An important personnel change took place with the entry of Steffen Kassner. The fourth generation representative, together with his father, will further develop the company in strategic future fields such as digitization. In order to strengthen the market position, Schauinsland-Reisen has also expanded its participations: the takeover of the component organizer Explorer has included new long-distance goals such as Australia and Canada in the portfolio. In addition, the number of their own travel agencies rose to over 70th Steffen Kassner: "Inpatient sales remains a core area for us, and we are firmly at the side of the travel agencies."

For the current financial year 2024/25, Schauinsland-Reisen expects a continued high demand. Popular travel destinations such as Turkey and Greece show increasing booking figures, while new destinations such as Oman and Albania are also interested in growing interest.
