Christmas 2024: The patriarch warns of technological illusions!
In his Christmas greeting, Patriarch Bartholomaios warned of the excessive expectations of technology and artificial intelligence, which could possibly face the positive development of civilization. The ecumenical patriarch of Constantinople was concerned about brutality and social injustice in the world and emphasized that technological progress could not grasp the deepest soul needs of man. Christmas is an opportunity to become aware of the freedom of humans, and Bartholomaios emphasized that God renewed the entire creation. Pope Francis is planning a trip to Türkiye next year to celebrate the 1,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicea, which symbolizes the connection between the churches and promotes the dialogue, such as Vaticannews.va reported.
