Ski season in the Lavanttal: starting shot with festival and new lifts!
The countdown at the start of the season in the Lavanttal ski areas is in full swing! On December 7, 2024, the big opening on the Koralpe is planned, an event that not only promises the winter sports enthusiasts, but also a journey into the past: "Skiing like then, with music from back then". The fun starts at 10 a.m. with "Radio Almenrat", followed by a live act with "D.O.F." from 12 noon. Koralm Schi GmbH can look forward to the snow conditions, because snowmaking has been running for about ten days - provided that the temperatures remain below zero degrees, as those responsible emphasize.
season start and prices
The wine level is also in the starting blocks: the opening on December 6th or 7th, depending on the weather, is sought. Preparations are in full swing, and thanks to new snow cannons, artificial snow is produced to make the slopes attractive for skiers. Johann Sturm, the manager of the wine level, emphasizes that the new lances and cannons should significantly improve the snow conditions. The day ticket for adults this year is 37.50 euros, while the prices for the Koralpe are 41.50 euros for adults and 21.50 euros for children.
At Klippitztörl, December 7th is also targeted, and the price adjustments are clear: a day ticket for adults costs 46 euros. Current price information for the lift cards show that the prices vary greatly depending on the duration and type - from 14 euros for one hour up to 164.50 euros for 20 hours. Interested winter sports enthusiasts can also look forward to family reductions that are available at certain evidence, such as Weingebene.at reports.
