Ostbahn-Kurti Honor: Ostpartie celebrates rock return in Zwettl!

Zwettl, Österreich - A rousing musical comeback experiences Lower Austria through the tribute band Ostpartie, which celebrated its tour start in the Zwettl city hall on Saturday, February 8, 2025. The band, which was launched in 2023, is a tribute to the late Willi Resetarits, better known as Dr. Kurt Ostbahn. With its passion for rock’n’roll and the distinctive dialect texts, the Ostpartie brings the classics of Ostbahn-Kurti back to the stage. "He is simply a role model for us," explains Philipp Schagerl, one of the band members who, together with other musicians from the Melk, St. Pölten and Tulln districts, presented a thrilling show that made the hearts of fans beat faster. This passion, which also activates the legacy of Resetarits, shows itself in songs such as "Feuer" and "57er Chevy", who delighted the audience.

The Ostpartie not only pursues the goal of Dr. Kurt Ostbahn to keep alive, but also to honor his legendary appearances. "It is as if it is going to change a switch, and then I'm Kurti," says singer Martin Freuden shot, who sweeps the audience with his performance at every appearance. The tour will lead through numerous stations in Lower Austria, including on April 6th in Scheibbs and on April 11th in Vindobona in Vienna, where both Ostbahn-Kurti and the butterflies, another band in which resetarises were active, had legendary appearances. "I wanted to bring the real Kurt Ostbahn to Zwettl in April 2023, on the same day I found out about his death," explained Gerhard Uitz, the organizer. Now the Ostpartie fulfills this heart's desire and celebrates the unique style of reseters with every grade.
