Christmas bonuses in sight: secure rights of trainees and mini-jobbers!
In the city of Remscheid and the surrounding region, the Trade Union Food Guest Gaststatics (NGG) causes a stir in the run-up to Christmas. "Christmas money check" is the urgent recommendation of the union, because many employees-especially trainees and mini-jobbers-could do without a special payment due to them. Zayde Torun from the NGG warns that bosses like to “forget” the Christmas bonus payments, even though they are contractually determined. The union asks employers to perceive their duties and to make the transfers in good time before the holidays to avoid financial bottlenecks, as on waterboelles.de is reported.
Check and request in good timeThe NGG also makes it clear that no company should escape responsibility, since numerous misunderstandings and mistakes can occur, especially in companies without a works council. Torun recommends to find out quickly at the union, especially about the bakeries in Remscheid, where all employees are entitled to Christmas bonus. The Christmas bonus varies depending on the duration of the service and can range from 250 to 550 euros for full -time forces. According to the NGG, 77 percent of employees in tariff -bound companies have legal entitlement to Christmas bonus, while only about half of all employees actually receive a special payment, such as wuppertaler-rundschau.de reported.
It is important that employees can request payment of the Christmas bonus by the end of February if they have not received anything last year. Torun reminds that the right to Christmas bonus expires if employees do not contact their boss in writing by February 29 at the latest. The NGG appeals to all those affected to defend themselves against the "Christmas bonus" and to get their rights, because every employee who worked in the company at least one year is entitled to half a month as Christmas bonus.
