Two men confess: Fentany drugs killed transgender activists!

Two men have known to have delivered the fentanyllated heroin that the prominent New York transgender activist Cecilia Gentili killed. Michael Kuilan, 44, made it guilty of distributing and owning and owned in a federal court in Brooklyn, heroin and fentanyl with the intention. Antonio Venti, 52, had guilty in July. As part of their Plea deals, the men admitted to causing Gentili's death.

Evidence of text messages and location data show that Kuilan delivered drugs to Venti, which he then sold to Gentili. During a search of Kuilan's apartment, hundreds of small bags were found fentanyl, a handgun and ammunition. Gentili was found dead in her bedroom on February 6th, a day after she bought drugs from Venti. Her death was caused by the combined effect of fentanyl, heroin, xylazine and cocaine.

reactions to Gentili's death

Kuilan will be convicted in January and Venti next month. Cecilia Gentili, 52 years old, was a former sex worker and a leading voice for transgender rights, sex workers and people with HIV. It also appeared in the FX series "Pose", which discussed the underground ballroom scene of the 1980s and 1990s. Her funeral at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan caused outrage in the Catholic community, and her death led to a wave of mourning in the L.G.B.T.Q. community in New York, with over 1,000 participants at a celebration to her life.

Breon Peace, the U.S. Attorney for the eastern district of New York, described Gentili's death as "heartbreaking" and expressed hope that her family's confessions would bring "a feeling of closure". Cecilia Gentili came to the United States as an undocumented immigrant from Argentina at the age of 26 and had to struggle with homelessness, addiction and human trafficking before it was imprisoned in Rikers Island.

like aol reported, Kuilan and Venti agreed to deviate from the charges, and dismissed the details of their participation in Gentili's death. This is done before the judgments scheduled for January and February 2025. Further details about the case and the background of Cecilia Gentili can also be found in an article by The New York Times
