Landesgartenschau 2027: Limeshain is planning big projects for the region!

Limeshain, Deutschland - The preparations for the State Garden Show in Oberhessen are in full swing! In just two and a half years, from April 22nd to October 3, 2027, the region becomes the scene of a spectacular event in eleven municipalities. Adolf Ludwig, the mayor of Limeshain, sees this garden show a golden opportunity to advance mobility in the country and put the community in the spotlight. "We are quite good in time," he emphasizes optimistically, even if the challenges are not to be underestimated.

The central themes of the garden show are Romans, Teutons and the picturesque orchards. Limeshain plans to inspire visitors with a barrier Limes round path and an exciting art and cultural program for all generations. "We can't find long-winded information boards," promises Ludwig. Instead, the guests should experience history up close and enjoy nature. A special highlight will be the Keltenblick viewpoint on the Glauberg, where exciting tours and events are planned.

But not everything runs smoothly. The acquisition of funding is a major hurdle. Ludwig explains that not all projects that appear to be eligible at first glance actually receive support. "We created a cadastre for orchard trees, although there was no funding for this," he says. Nevertheless, the community remains optimistic and works on further funding to make the garden show a success. "Every euro counts, and everything that arises here remains even after the garden show," he adds.

The first projects, such as the upgrading of the Limes circuit and the design of the connection between Himbach and Hainchen, are already in the starting blocks. The community calls for all citizens to actively contribute and share their ideas. "We are in contact with many groups and look forward to the good cooperation," says Ludwig. The State Garden Show is not only a festival for the region, but also an opportunity to bring people together and present the beauty of Upper Hesse!
