Even if the energy costs remain stable - the electricity price is currently 27 cents per kilowatt hour - people feel the increased food prices. For many families, this could have a significant impact on their budget, especially when choosing the feast. While potato salad remains the cheapest dish, the prices for traditional dishes such as Christmas goose rise stable to around 19 to 21 euros per kilogram for fresh п Grinde or 14 to 15 euros for frozen geese. Advice from the Lower Saxony poultry industry advises to reserve domestic geese in good time, since the availability is limited and many import products are in demand.
