Anniversary celebration of the Amadeus Awards: A look at 25 years of music history!

The Amadeus Austrian Music Awards celebrate their 25th anniversary with a spectacular gala that will take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, in the Marx Halle in Vienna. Like ORF , the evening ensures a reunion with established sizes and promising newcomers of the local music scene. The well -known personalities Conchita Wurst and Andi Knoll are responsible for the moderation of the event. The event, which will be shown live at 9:30 p.m. on ORF 1, includes the awarding of awards in 14 categories, whereby the spectators can cheer on the "Red Carpet" from 9:25 p.m.

This year's nominations are as exciting as it is diverse. The best Austrian artists are presented in a total of 13 categories: inside with five nominations per category. The musician Bibiza, which is nominated in four categories, is particularly outstanding, closely followed by Rian, Wanda and Folkshilfe, each of which has three chances of a prize. Like ifpi Austria , there are also 13 talents among the 47 nominated artists who are in the list for the first time-including Anna Buchegger and Billie Styrian. The audience has the opportunity to decide for their favorite artists via an online vote on voting.aama.at until January 16, 2025.

Special attention is paid to the "Ö3 song of the year", in which the listeners: inside choose five nominations. The nominations range from "Feiawerk" from Granada to "Circus Prince" by Pizzera & Jaus, and the winner is announced during the gala. The FM4 Award, an audience award, goes to the talented musician Sodl this year, who is also invited to the first Votingrund. The combination of jury rating and the audience vote ensures that the most exciting talents of the Austrian music scene are recognized accordingly.

The Amadeus Awards have established themselves as the most important platform for Austrian music, and as the President of the Association of the Austrian Music Industry, Franz Pleterski, emphasizes, they show the "diversity, quality and creativity" of domestic music, which again focuses on this year with an equally varied program.
