Honor for choir members: Advent concert in Unterkochen on December 15th!
A festive evening full of honors and musical highlights, the Catholic parish experienced Unterkochen at the Cecilia celebration. Eight outstanding singers of the church choir and the Cappella Nova were awarded for their long -standing merits at the Marienwallfahrtskirche. Chord director Ralph Häcker announced a special Advent concert for December 15th, which increases the anticipation for Christmas.
Honors for loyal members
The solemn ceremony began after Pastor Dr. Beski directed evening mass. Andreas Weidner, Chairman of the Cappella Nova, welcomed the members of both choirs and their guests to the Bishop Hefele House. Saint Cäcilia, patron saint of church music, was recognized as a symbol for the combination of faith and art. "Cäcilia lived her beliefs with devotion and knew music as a means of glorifying God," emphasized Weidner.
Anneliese Huber was particularly honored for 55 years, Mechthild Löffler for 25 years and Ursula Knupfer for 15 years in the church choir. Jutta Färber and Jutta Widemann received from the Cappella Nova for 40 years, as well as Christine Holzwarth, Martin Stark and Stephanie Stark for 25 years of recognition. The documents were made by Pastor Dr. Beski and the choir chairman presented.
A musical highlight is before
Another highlight of the evening was the announcement of the Advent concert, which will take place at 7 p.m. in the pilgrimage church. The focus is on the famous "Magnificat" by John Rutter, who was awarded the price of European church music in 2019. In addition to other works by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, the soprano Angelika Lenter will also appear. Cards are already available and promise an unforgettable experience for all music lovers.
