Schladminger Planai, Steiermark, Österreich - A dramatic Christmas miracle took place on the Christmas Day on the Schladminger Planai in Styria. A 19-year-old from the Hollabrunn district of Lower Austrian, who was missing after an exuberant après-ski with friends, was discovered in the icy catches of the winter after more than three hours of search. Around 5 p.m., the group, consisting of six people, lost sight of her friend, while after a cozy afternoon at 1800 meters, they wanted to make their way into the valley. From 6.30 p.m., a large -scale search, supported by the mountain rescue Schladming, police and the Austrian Red Cross, ran with a thermal expression. Fantastic slopes were also used to find the missing skier in the dark. The hope that he had been looking for protection in one of the local bars also led the friends through the streets down into the valley, but without success. The clock ticked against the life of the 19-year-old when the darkness broke, so described A little later, around 8.30 p.m., a slope device tester cracked the case: he discovered the young man sleeping in the snow, just about a kilometer from the hut. The 19-year-old, apparently alcoholized, had got into the cold without gloves and headgear and had simply put himself in the snow. It was very hypothermic, but otherwise well. He immediately received help from the emergency services and was brought to the DKH Schladming for the medical examination. Fortunately, he didn't seem injured, and the police called it a Christmas miracle that he was found alive.
