In a shocking incident that occurred in Vienna on Christmas morning, a 29-year-old man and his girlfriend were threatened with a gun during a night walk. According to Today.at , the couple noticed a loudly controversial duo and when the man spoke to the unknown argument, one of them pulled a suspected firearm and straightened them on the two. Thanks to precise descriptions of the person, the 23-year-old suspect was quickly arrested, while a shotgun nearby was found, which turned out to be the threat weapon.

Investigations in Schwalmstadt

Similar dramatic scenes took place at the same time in Schwalmstadt, where a 20-year-old woman was fatally injured by police officers. The Marburg public prosecutor explained that the woman was not wearing a sharp weapon, but possibly a shotgun or at a soft weapon, which, however, looked confusingly similar to a real weapon. As reported focus.de , the woman had previously had to do with the police for suspicion of drunk and unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident. On Thursday morning, when the police approached her vehicle, she focused on a gun on her, whereupon the officials opened the fire and fatally injured them.

Despite immediate first aid measures, the woman succumbed to her injuries in the ambulance. The investigation into whether she really shot the police has not yet found a final clarification. The cause of death was attributed to internal injuries caused by the shots. The police are unharmed, but an investigation was initiated against the officials involved for suspected manslaughter.
