Police pursue escape cars through Paris: dramatic accident in the 15th arrondissement!

A dramatic persecution race in Paris ended with a violent accident and several injuries. According to the public prosecutor, the persecution began when three police vehicles discovered a refugee on the street. The persecution, which stretched over several kilometers, ended in the 15th arrondissement, where the driver lost control of his car and crashed into a traffic light with full force. As a result, the three patrol cars crashed into the accident victim one after the other. Images of surveillance cameras show the shocking moment when the fleeting vehicle collides with the traffic lights and then rammed by the police cars, with a police car even catapulted onto the roof of the damaged escape vehicle.

In this incident, ten police officers were slightly injured, while the driver of the fleeing car and his two companions, who are 19, 22 and 30, were arrested and taken to the hospital. Two of the suspects were already known to the police. The Paris Police Prefect Laurent Nuñez commented on the circumstances and resorted to the "bad view" on site, at the same time he praised the "courage" of the officials who dared to take the risky and peg on their security.

new patrol cars for the motorway police

To improve security on the motorways, the motorway police in Rhineland-Palatinate are equipped with new patrol cars, which have an impressive performance of 286 hp and all-wheel drive. These vehicles, which can reach a top speed of 250 km/h, should be in use quickly and safely. Interior Minister Roger Lewentz presented the new vehicles at a presentation and emphasized that the cars are designed especially for use on motorways and expressways. The new radio patrol cars, which are to be purchased by 2024, replace the old vehicle fleet and are also equipped with the latest technology. Lewentz called the procurement a crucial step in order to make the police operation in a risky environment as safe as possible, while more detailed price details were not published due to contractual reasons.
