Floridsdorf under fire: ATMs blown up, cities in fear!

Kainachgasse, 1210 Wien, Österreich - The security situation in Floridsdorf, Vienna, reaches alarming dimensions. Last weekend, two ATMs were blown up and several vehicles set fire. Wolfgang Irschik, district party chairman of the FPÖ Floridsdorf, warns: "Floridsdorf is becoming more and more a suburb of Paris." These incidents are no longer a few events, but the consequence of increasing gang crime and vandalism, as reported, among other things, Exxpress.at . "The Rot-Pink city government lets Floridsdorf down. While millions are invested in ideological projects, savings are made at security," continues Irschik.

arson attacks and clan crime

Another incident that shakes the residents of Floridsdorf was the alleged arson attack on six vehicles in a community building. The police are investigating arson and there are indications of possible criminal clan structures. Irschik demands a zero tolerance strategy against such criminal machinations: "It is completely unacceptable that arguments between clans take place in the middle of our district." According to current reports, a 60-year-old Syrian was arrested. He is said to be part of a family whose conflicts culminated in the fires. In the event of an investigation, it was also found that there were previously disputes and threats within the family.

The FPÖ urges that it is picked up hard. An increased police presence in endangered residential areas is required to restore the population's feeling of security. Irschik appealed to Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) and emphasized the need for immediate measures to protect Floridsdorf and Vienna from the consequences of clan crime. "The population has the right to live in safety," said Irschik, while the investigation into the arson attacks continues.
