Burglars caught in the tavern: Who is the drunk perpetrator?
The night before a holiday there was chaotic scenes in a restaurant in Klagenfurt. The innkeeper decided at 3:40 a.m. to close the doors, while numerous guests still stayed inside. These reacted with anger to the sudden closure and began to step against the front door, causing a glass pane. In the heat of the event, the landlord got into a dispute with a 32-year-old woman, in the course of whom he struck her and she suffered injuries to an indefinite degree. The police had to intervene, and the man was reported for assault and deprivation of liberty from the Klagenfurt public prosecutor, as on at the same time and only a short time later there was another incident in the factory district in the same city. A 38-year-old man who had left the restaurant as the last guest tried to violently open the back door and return inside. The innkeeper and his wife, who noticed the unlocked door, watched the action from a hiding place and called the police. The host was able to record the burglar until the officials arrived. An alkotest carried out showed an alcohol concentration of over two per thousand, which is why the man could not be heard at first. Fortunately, neither theft was committed in the restaurant nor caused damage. The incident will also have consequences for the perpetrator, since it will be reported after the investigation has been concluded, as kaernten.orf reported.
