Doubts about health reform: SP-Vice Roth warns of hidden costs!

A storm of indignation raged when SP Vice President David Roth abatement Efas's health reform as a dubious! On November 24, the voting people will decide on the much -discussed reform, which is strongly promoted by the Federal Council, Parliament and the healthcare industry. But Roth, an influential trade unionist, sees the promised two billion francs of premium relief. "You have to come there," he explained and accused the government of conjuring up the numbers.

Roth warns of rising costs

The Roth reviews are sharp: he believes that long -term care, the rapidly growing cost center in healthcare, is not relieved by reform, but the premium payers are still asked to pay. "The figures from the Santésuisse health insurance association show that the costs will increase by CHF 10 billion in a short time," said Roth. Despite the claims of the Federal Councilor Elisabeth Baume Schneider that the reform will relieve the premium payers, Roth remains in his opinion: "The cantons only want to get rid of their future costs."

He questions the credibility of the reform and indicates that the current calculations do not reflect reality. "The voting booklet says that the reform in 17 out of 26 cantons will lead to higher premiums. This is dubious," emphasizes Roth. He also criticizes that the reform does not pursue the idea of reducing the premiums, but rather a redistribution of the costs, which is ultimately buried to the insured.

The health reform of Efas is faced with the decisive vote and the opinions about it could not be split! Roth urges the long -term consequences, while the supporters hope for relief among politicians and health care. The coming weeks will show whether the voters belong to the warnings of Roth or believe the reform promise.
