Public meeting of the district council Leopoldstadt: Be there!

On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., the next meeting of the Leopoldstadt district council will take place in the multi -purpose hall of the BRG/Borg Lessinggasse in Vienna. This session, in which all 60 district councilors take part, is also broadcast via Livestream, such as press.wien.gv.at reported. Details about the session

The district council meets at least once a quarter and enables its members to enter written applications, ask questions to the district leader and to be announced. The applications are debated at the meeting and then voted. According to wien.gv.at , the members can also decide to further process applications in a committee, which enables the expertise of the specialist services to be obtained. These applications must then be answered by the responsible authorities within eight weeks.

Although each session is public and the protocols are available for inspection after a contact period has expired, not all accepted applications can actually be implemented. Financial or administrative hurdles are common reasons why some applications cannot be realized despite the decision. The legal foundations for these procedures are determined in the rules of procedure of the district representatives and guarantee transparent communication between the district council and the city administration.
