New cultural boss Dombret: A fresh wind for Hesse's art scene!
Wiesbaden, Deutschland - Wiesbaden is on the move! The renowned economist and former Bundesbank board member Prof. Dr. Andreas Dombret takes over the scepter of the Hessian Cultural Foundation. Prime Minister Boris Rhein and Minister of Art and Culture Timon Gremmels congratulated him warmly and recognized the merits of his predecessor, Jutta Ebeling. A change that could bring a fresh wind to the Hessian cultural scene!
"An excellent choice!" Cheers Prime Minister Rhein. Dombret, which stands for cosmopolitanism and promotion of young talent, will promote cultural diversity and the exchange of knowledge in Hesse in his new role. His expertise from international banking and his many years of voluntary work in the art and cultural scene make him the ideal head of the foundation. The state government wishes him a lot of joy and success in this important position.
Farewell to Jutta Ebeling
Thank you very much to Jutta Ebeling, who has steered the foundation for the fortunes in the past five years. Under your leadership, over 9,000 work and project scholars were awarded during the Corona pandemic to support Hessian cultural workers quickly and unbureaucratically. Her services to the Hessian art and cultural landscape are undisputed, and her work has decisively shaped Hesse's cultural profile.
Prof. Dr. Andreas Dombret, born in 1960 in the Moines, Iowa, not only has an impressive academic career, but also a strong commitment to science and culture. As a member of the board of trustees of the Städel Museum and the Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt, he is well networked. The Hessian Cultural Foundation, which has been supporting museums, art associations and libraries since 1988, is now ready to set new cultural impulses under its leadership!
