Drama in Regensburg: Tunisian ensures fear and horror - prison sentence!
An intensive case of violence has led to a considerable police operation in Regensburg and finally ended in court. The 32-year-old Tunisian, who has already shown himself to be violent, had to answer on Monday before the Regensburg District Court, as reports www.mittelbayerische.de . His crimes and the reactions to it have strongly claimed both the police and the local community.
The massive escalation of the events started on a Saturday evening on the Jahninsel. The defendant attacked a man completely unexpectedly and struck him unconscious. This brutal attack immediately resulted in a major police operation. According to a policewoman, the Tunisian was extremely aggressive when the officials arrived.
Just two days later, his violence was again directed against a roommate in the asylum accommodation. With a knife he threatened another refugee and finally added a cut on his hand. This concern that arousing acts opened the potential of the perpetrator for further acts of violence.

Other violent clashes followed only a few days later. The man ticked three times within a few hours. At first he got into a dispute with a young mother on the Danube and attacked her in front of her five -year -old daughter. Shortly afterwards he hit the nose of a roommate in the refugee accommodation and then brutally attacked another roommate with hands and feet within the next hour.
About ten days after the events on the Jahninsel, the situation escalated again: the Tunisian penetrated into the room of a roommate with a 30 centimeter long knife. He hit his victim with the grip of the gun and later seriously injured another refugee.
During the process, the accused mostly stared apathetically into the void and showed no remorse. His defender was Maximilian Keser, but the Tunisian did not confess.

Finally, the perpetrator was sentenced to a prison sentence of one year and seven months by the lay judge, chaired by judge Blankenhorn. The judge particularly emphasized that the deeds, in particular the attack on the Jahninsel, had led to a considerable uncertainty among the population. Blankenhorn continued to see the risk of new crimes, since the aggression potential of the Tunisian was unchanged.
