Farmers' protests: Gresser and Martin lead free voters in Wangen!
In a dramatic step, the two farmers Albert Gresser and Florian Martin entered the political stage! After the intensive peasant protests at the end of last year, they decided not only to act as a spokesman for their colleagues in the Allgäu, but also to actively immerse themselves in politics. Gresser, who comes from Neuravensburg, and Martin, who represents the Leutkirch farmers, tirelessly campaigned for the interests of their industry. But the feeling of not being heard enough drove them to make the political fortunes into their own hands.
Political takeover
In the free voters, they finally found the right platform! At the latest district party conference in Ravensburg, Gresser and Martin were voted the front offices with an overwhelming majority. Gresser is now chairman, Martin his deputy, while Anne Gresse acts as the new treasurer and Christoph Zinstein as secretary. "With Albert Gresser we have a well -networked farmer at the top who knows the challenges of agriculture and is committed to it," praises state treasurer Ralf Wendel.
The upcoming Bundestag elections are just around the corner, and Gresser emphasizes the urgency to bundle all forces. "The established parties did not use their chances. Anyone who chooses them again opts for a 'keep it up' instead of real changes," he explains. In order to convince the voters, the district association is planning a get-to-know-you event, at which prominent guests such as Christine Singer and the Baden-Württemberg top candidate Sylvia Rolke are expected on November 24th in the Stadthalle Wangen.
