Andrea Mayer emits the Secretary of Culture and returns to the Hofburg as official director.

The Green Cultural State Secretary Andrea Mayer has decided to put her office down and return to the Hofburg as a top officer. This step was officially taken on Wednesday when the Federal Government led by Karl Nehammer and Werner Kogler submitted resignation to Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen, as the tradition provides.

An interesting turn arises from Andrea Mayer, since she will return to her previous position in the Hofburg immediately after her resignation. Mayer was a caren for May during her time as Secretary of Culture and at the same time acted as the official director of the presidential office. This unusual return to her old position was confirmed by OE24 and means a significant return for van der Bellen, who can thus re -accept his most important employee in his team.

This unforeseen development throws a new light on the dynamics of power in the Hofburg and confirms the close connection between Mayer and van der Bellen. It also illustrates the ongoing influence of people in positions of political power and their ability to act flexibly between different roles.
