New beginning for the SPÖ in Lichtenwörth: Who are the hope of hope?

in Lichtenwörth the SPÖ faces a dramatic fresh start. After a surprising wave of resignation that shook the local party, the faction is reorganized with 19 candidates and candidates, led by the executive councilor Corinna Kalusa. "The aim is to become the strongest political force again," she emphasizes in a conversation with the NÖN. The SPÖ prioritizes the creation of places for the youth and wants to preserve the "feel -good factor" through more green and less concrete. Special attention should also be paid to the city finances, especially with regard to the city's own company, which only exists.

The situation was even more complicated by the resignation of local party leader Helga Marquart and four of her supporters, who made her municipal council mandate. Of the originally ten SPÖ mandatar, only Corinna Kalusa remained, while some former members act as "wild" MPs and the long-time Spöler Johann Prandl switched to the ÖVP. In order to stabilize the party again, several crisis meetings took place. SPÖ district chief and National Councilor Petra Vorderwinkler said that the SPÖ wanted to constructively contribute to local politics. These new candidates, including Moritz Hirschler, Silvia Taubensee, Robert Kalusa and Friedrich Linauer, are expected to be praised on May 23, whereby the three renegade mandatars of the SPÖ could also be incorporated into the state policy as a wild deputy. However, a comeback by the former SPÖ mayor Harald Richter or by the municipal councilor Harald Ringhofer is not up for debate, since both signed a waiver of mandate, as the courier reports.
