Kickl stops FPÖ decline: New survey shows stabilization of the blue!

The FPÖ is stable in the current political landscape, despite previous losses. According to a new survey by OE24 , which was held between January 27 and February 3, 2025, Herbert Kickl was able to hold its support at 34%. Compared to the National Council election of September 2024, in which she only achieved 28.8%, this seems to be a slight upward trend. The SPÖ follows 22% and the ÖVP dropped to 19%. The decline of the NEOS, which is now 9%, is particularly striking, while the Greens were able to overtake the NEOS with 10%.

FPÖ protest against Selenskyj

In parallel to these survey results, the FPÖ expressed its protest against the speech by the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj in the National Council on Thursday. The deputies left the meeting room, as Selenskyj, which was switched on via video, began to speak. In their places they left protest signs with the inscriptions "Place for Peace" and "Place for Neutrality". Before the event, Herbert Kickl made it clear: "For the FPÖ it is clear: Selenskyj has lost nothing in the Austrian parliament! Neither personally nor by switching off a video." The FPÖ thus affirms its position on neutrality and rejects the interference in military conflicts, such as bauern.fpoe.at reported.
