Two motorcycle accidents in Bad Ischl: Fire brigade in continuous use!

On June 6, 2025, two spectacular motorcycle accidents occurred in Bad Ischl in Upper Austrian, which the Mitterweißenbach volunteer fire brigade mobilized. The first incident occurred at 2:45 p.m. on the B 153, kilometer 11. A motorcycle had strayed from the road and landed in a stream bed. The state warning center immediately alerted the emergency services that moved out with a KLF and a load. According to fireworld.at, the eight emergency services carried out a location exploration.

The rescue of the motorcycle was carried out by the load from Mitterweißenbach using the loading crane. Fortunately, the driver was not injured and the motorcycle was secured in an adjacent parking lot. A towing company took over the removal of the vehicle a short time later, while the emergency services checked the accident site for possible environmental damage.

two accidents in one day

In the first six months of 2025, 126 traffic fatalities have already been counted in Austria, as the current accident statistics of the Interior Ministry shows. This represents a worrying development compared to previous years, since only 110 traffic fatalities were registered throughout 2024. 135 fatal traffic accidents also occurred in 2023. BMI reports that carelessness and distraction are the most common causes of the accidents.

It is particularly alarming that two motorcyclists died in six traffic accidents last week. The recent events in Bad Ischl illustrate the need for increased security measures and traffic controls on the Austrian streets. The Mitterweißenbach fire brigade was professional in the salvages and ensured that no further risks were made from the accident sites.
