Wiener SPÖ presents a new government team: Novak as a finance councilor!
Wien, Österreich - On June 4, 2025, Mayor Michael Ludwig presented the new government team of the SPÖ for Vienna. The SPÖ will be represented with six seats in the 13-member city senate and the state government. The familiar faces include Vice Mayor Kathrin Gaál, Jürgen Czernohorszky, Peter Hacker, Veronica Kaup-Hasler and Ulli Sima, all of whom will keep their previous positions. New government program and changes in the state party
The presentation of the new government program of SPÖ and Neos took place on June 3, 2025 in the Vienna City Hall. Ludwig and Vice Mayor Bettina Emmerling lead the coalition, which has 53 out of 100 mandates in the municipal council. The program, entitled "Recovery Coalition", reacts to current challenges and focuses on economic impulses and social cohesion.
