Vienna government: FPÖ achieved success, but without power in the town hall!
The political landscape in Vienna was clearly strengthened after the election in April 2025. The FPÖ has presented a staff line -up for the town hall after receiving around 20 percent of the vote. Maximilian Krauss will continue to act as a club chairman, while Dominik Nepp, Ulrike Nittmann and Stefan Berger were nominated for non -management city council posts. In total, the FPÖ is entitled to three seats in the future city council, which will consist of 13 members. While the FPÖ is expanding their status in the town hall, SPÖ and NEOS also presented their coalition agreement, in which the SPÖ remains represented with six members. NEOS will send a member to the city senate. The remaining six non -managing positions go to the opposition: three to the FPÖ, two to the Greens and one to the ÖVP. The new coalition program between the SPÖ and Neos was recently presented in the Vienna City Hall and is entitled "upswing coalition".
