Future of the Waidhausen Park: Penzinger demands improvements for dog zone
In the Waidhausen Park in Penzing, there are a number of concerns brought by dog owners to improve the quality of stay in the dog zone there. Marie Ozinger, a regular visitor to the dog zone, has contacted the Mein district of the Mein district to draw attention to essential problems.
ozinger walk with her bitch Mia through the park almost every day, and the darkness during the winter months is very worried. "The lighting is inadequate, and this significantly increases the risk of falls and injuries," she says. Better illumination is particularly necessary in the dark season to ensure the safety of the users. Ozinger suggests using environmentally friendly solar lights that would be able to illuminate the park cheaply.
stench and requests for improvement
Not only the lack of lighting ensures inconvenience, but also the placement of the dung bucket, which unfortunately are near the benches. This arrangement leads to unpleasant smells, especially in summer. "A resettlement of the dung bucket could make the stay for dog owners and visitors much more pleasant," suggests Ozinger.
In addition, a small table that is set up in the park could enrich the experience. A table would not only offer a storage area, but also act as a meeting point for dog owners. "For many, the park is a place of social exchange, not just the dog walk," she explains.
These suggestions could help to make the Waidhausen park a safer and more inviting place for the local community. Ozinger hopes that the district policy will react to these concerns to improve the conditions in the dog zone.
The district leader Michaela Schüchner (SPÖ) indicated that this is an important topic. "We have heard of the problems in the dog zone Waidhausenpark and will forward this information to MA 42 to have it checked," she explains.
It remains to be seen whether and when the first changes will be implemented. Dog owners in Penzing are looking forward to positive news about the required improvements. For more information on the concerns in Waidhausenpark, See the current reporting on www.meinbezirk.at .
