Vienna-Meidling: Boehringer Ingelheim is investing in new offices for 990 employees

The international pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim has announced that it will build a modern office building in Vienna-Meidling, which will cost around 100 million euros. On a spacious property of 4500 square meters on Altmannsdorfer Straße, just a five -minute walk from the main location, the new building should offer space for 990 employees. The completion is planned until mid -2027.

This development follows the opening of a new cancer research center in Meidling, which has only recently been inaugurated. The company thus sets a strong sign of its growth strategy and the importance of the Vienna location for its global activities.

PAVOL Dobrocky, the general director of the Regional Center in Vienna, said: "This construction project is an important investment in the future for us and at the same time a clear commitment to the Vienna location." The new property is supposed to bundle the various business and administrative functions, which contributes to the reduction of external office space.

A total of seven upper floors are primarily provided for offices and extensive meeting areas that will be available to all employees. With over 18,000 square meters of usable space and almost 3000 square meters of terraces and green areas, Boehringer Ingelheim also attaches great importance to a pleasant work environment.

In addition to the functional aspects, the sustainability idea of this construction project is also very important. Among other things, the use of heat pumps, photovoltaic systems on roof areas and electric charging stations in garage planning are planned. In addition, “green” concrete is used, the production of which is less co 2 , which contributes to a more environmentally friendly design.
