Bettina Fennesz-Hasengst, the new director, took over the scepter from Gerlinde Tatzber at the beginning of school, who has said goodbye to a sabbatical and will retire.

Fennesz-Hasengst, 53 years old and living in Vienna, has her roots in the Waldviertel. Her structured professional experience includes a role as a deputy managing director of the Jewish professional education center, supplemented by years of activities in teacher training and as an examiner at the Vienna Chamber of Commerce.

She plans to maintain direct contact with the students through her own lessons. mastering technological challenges

The director emphasizes that the new role also carries many challenges, especially with regard to technology. "We have to keep pace with the technology, both in the infrastructure and in the know-how of the teachers," said their assessment. In order to address these challenges, considerable work was invested in the school's technical upgrading during the summer holidays, including new servers and extended network structures. Fennesz-Hasengst also sees the creation of a supportive work and school climate as decisive for the documentation process.

A highlight of your approach is the introduction of the "Top League" program, which enables particularly talented students to develop additional skills and gain international experience, including through the Erasmus program.
