in Vienna the time has come again: The "Viennese weeks for work and further education" are just around the corner. From Monday, November 4th to Saturday, November 23, a variety of events will be offered in the Wieden, Margareten and Mariahilf districts that focus on promoting education and professional skills. A total of 37 free information events invite both young people and adults to learn new things and to expand their skills.

The VHS Polycles Margareten Wieden, located in Johannagasse 2 in the 5th district, provides a variety of exciting workshops. Here the participants can not only acquire theoretical knowledge, but also learn practical skills for everyday life. Particularly noteworthy is the workshop for the introduction to 3D printing, which takes place on Monday, November 4, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This course focuses on the production of spare parts, which makes repairs to different objects such as bicycles or cameras easier and at the same time the environment is protected. A basic computer experience is required to be able to participate in the workshop.

Another highlight of this week is the portrait photography workshop on Tuesday, November 5th. Between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., adults have the opportunity to get valuable insights into the technique of portrait photography. Under the guidance of professionals, you will learn everything important for impressive portraits and should bring your own camera with you to apply the learned directly.

For everyone who wants to make up for their compulsory school leaving certificate, an informative event will take place on Wednesday, November 6th. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. there is all the necessary information about the requirements, the duration and content of the courses as well as the course of the final exams. A prerequisite for participation in the course is a fulfilled compulsory schooling and fundamental knowledge of German and mathematics.
