Ten years of scary fun: Halloween in the Vienna Prater celebrates anniversary

Preparations for the popular Halloween event in the Vienna sausage praternity are in full swing. For the tenth time, the largest amusement park in Vienna will be transformed into an eerily backdrop on October 31. Under the motto "The best of 10 years of Halloween", the Vienna Prater Association invites all scary fans to take part in this unique spectacle.

Through the years, the event has developed into a real highlight in the event calendar. Silvia Lang, President of the Vienna Prater Association, and her Vice Fredo Nemec emphasize that the anniversary celebrations for young and old will be something very special. The celebration is made with numerous attractions that have caused a stir in the past ten years.

The main attractions in detail

From eerie labyrinths to creepy performances - the offer is extensive. The highlights include the "Horror Maze - horror labyrinth", which should make many hearts beat faster again. Another attraction will be the "Burning Calafati", which will shine in spectacular fire on this occasion. The “Black Empress” takes over the leadership of the parade, while the “Zombie Shocker” provides moments of fright in front of the Prater Dome.

For all costumes, there is also a large costume competition that honors the most exciting disguises. The parade takes place between 5 and 6 p.m. on the stage in front of the Prater's landmark, the Ferris wheel. District head Alexander Nikolai from the SPÖ will take over the moderation together with Alexander Ruthner, authorized representative of Prater Wien GmbH.

After the parade, the event crowned with a mega-Halloween after party in the "Prater Dome" from 10 p.m. Music and entertainment are guaranteed here.

Especially for the youngest visitors there are many activities around Halloween. The program takes place daily between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. from October 29 to 31. Various attractions such as face painting, exciting photo points and various live performances by magicians and acrobats are waiting here. The "Spooky Cabaret" and many are terribly good stories.

A skill and craft station will provide further incentives at the sausage area, and last but not least, the physical well-being is taken care of- including with the popular Dracula ice cream, while stocks last. The large pumpkin carving on Rondeau will also be an attraction on October 31. Here children can be creative with a lot of fun.
