A heart's desire will come true: Paul's magical visit to the comic con

The 17-year-old Paul has a special wish to heart, which he has been in charge for a long time. Despite the challenges that his life brings with an incurable illness, Paul dreams of experiencing the Vienna Comic Con up close. Thanks to the support of the Johannitern and the Momo Children's Palliative Center, this wish has now become a reality.

Paul, who is tied up on the bed due to his health Situation and is artificially ventilated, can no longer speak. But modern technology enables him to communicate with his environment via specially programmed glasses. With the help of his eye movements, he can write down thoughts and wishes that are then transferred to a tablet. So it was also possible to express his longest wish: participation in the comic fair.

Visit the Vienna Comic Con

In the past few days, the time had finally come: Together with his parents, Paul was brought to the Leopoldstadt in the ambulance for Vienna Comic Con. The fair took place last weekend and offered a colorful supporting program that let visitors immerse yourself in another world.

Although Paul was not able to actively participate in the events, he pursued the hustle and bustle of his stretcher. The joy and excitement were clear to him when he admired the impressive costumes and the creative stands. An unforgettable highlight for Paul were the personal encounters with his idol superheroes: Spiderman and the actor Craig Fairbrass and the Cosplayer Han Jones, who appeared as Captain America, visited him and provided bright eyes.

In a press release, it was emphasized that this trip for Paul was a long -awaited dream and is a moment of happiness in the middle of the challenges and restrictions of his everyday life.
