Winter flight schedule at Vienna Airport: New destinations and airlines from October
Vienna Airport is preparing for an exciting winter flight schedule that comes into force at the end of October. From October 29, 2023 to March 31, 2025, passengers can choose from an impressive selection of 166 destinations. This variety is made possible by new airlines and the return of companies that had previously flew from Vienna. The signs are clearly on growth, not only with regard to the number of passengers, but also with regard to the offer of goals.
The role of Austrian Airlines, which controls a total of 86 goals, is particularly remarkable. Among these new places include Mauritius and the Maldives, and Ivalo is brand new in Finland. Passengers benefit from increased frequencies to popular cities such as Bangkok, New York and Montreal, while year -round connections to Boston, Chicago, Newark, Washington and Shanghai remain.Expansion of the flight offer
Ryanair also expands its offer and now flies a total of 56 destinations with 19 aircraft. The newly offered winter destinations include Dubrovnik and Tirana. In addition, the airline increases the number of flights to over 20 popular travel destinations, including Faro, Rome, Lisbon, Tallinn and Warsaw. From Vienna, Wizz Air offers 23 destinations, including Reykjavik in Iceland and Hurghada in Egypt, and has resumed the connections to Cluj in Romania and Chisinau, the capital of Moldavia.
Julian Jäger, board member of Flughafen Vienna AG, emphasizes the diversity of the new winter flight plan. "After a record summer, the winter flight schedule with a wide selection of destinations also takes off," he says. Whether snow -rich adventures in the north or sunny time -out in the south, the numerous direct connections do not leave any travel requests unfulfilled. Travelers can also expect a comfortable stay at the airport, with many services, short waiting times and a modern environment that comes up with new shops, restaurants and high -quality lounges.
Vienna Airport successfully fought back after the pandemic and last year recorded the second best result in its history with 29.5 million passengers. The 2019 record remains unmatched, but the current figures show that the airport is on the best way to surpass this brand soon. The number of passengers in the summer months of July and August 2023, in which even 6.7 million passengers were counted - are particularly remarkable - an increase of 5.7 percent compared to the record figures from 2019.
Overall, Vienna Airport presents itself as an important hub with an expanded range of goals and high customer satisfaction, which indicates a promising winter flight schedule. Details of the new goals and airlines can become .
