Impact Investing in the focus: Wiener Forum brings international investors together
The Seventh Wiener Impact Investment Forum, organized by Advantage Family Office GmbH, took place on November 21, 2024 in the renowned Hotel Bristol in Vienna. Around 100 participants, including family offices, institutional investors as well as experts and entrepreneurs, came together to discuss the important topic of sustainability.
The event was characterized by three lively discussions in which well -known speakers such as Dagmar Nixdorf from Nixdorf Kapital AG and Christian Wiehenkamp of Perpetual Investors spoke about the commitment of Family Offices in the Impact Investing area. Sabine Duchaczek, the founder and managing director of Advantage Family Office GmbH, said that the forum is not only the goal of providing current information, but also creating a platform for the exchange between Austrian and international investors. "We would like to underline the relevance of sustainable investment and ensure that future generations can also benefit from it," said Duchaczek.
partnerships and sponsors
The event stood by various partners. Nixdorf Kapital AG, a proven platinum partner, offers opportunities for institutional investors who want to invest in sustainable funds. The Gold Partners Susi Partners AG held the key note with the title "Use opportunities, design the future: added value in the energy transition" and offered insights into medium-sized private infrastructure projects as part of the global energy transition. Genui GmbH as a silver partner also contributed to the event, as did the canton of Nidwalden, who acted as a bronze partner.
The discussion rounds framed the central topic of investment strategies from different perspectives. In the first panel, the commitment of Family Offices in Impact Investing was debated, while individual approaches and strategies were discussed in the second panel. The perspectives and approaches of young successors in the Impact Investing area were also noticed in the third panel.
Interestingly, the event reflects a trend in the Austrian investment landscape, where more and more investors are focusing on the social and ecological impact of their investments. "Despite the progress, however, there is still considerable catching up to do in the portfolios," continued Duchaczek. She announced that the next edition of the forum is already planned for November 6, 2025 and that international pioneers are to be invited again in Impact Investing. The conference was rounded off by corporate presentations by various actors such as the first social finance, Franklin Templeton and the Mercaton Group, which were able to make their specific contribution to discussion. In addition, a high -class reception with Family Offices took place on the evening before at the invitation of the canton of Nidwalden. This event not only emphasizes the progress in impact investing, but also the growing interest and commitment of investors in the area of sustainable financing models, which could pave the way for future developments.
