Drug trade in Vienna: Two men arrested - investigations run

A significant success for the Viennese police was recorded on October 3, 2024 when she arrested a 22-year-old man who had been drug for over a year. The suspect was caught in the event of an observed sale of cannabis herb to a 19-year-old buyer.

The arrest enabled the officials to secure several evidence by subsequent searching the 22-year-old's apartment in Vienna-Floridsdorf. A total of 473 grams of cannabis herb, 64 grams of cannabis resin, 3,570 euros cash and a mobile phone were found. During the survey, the man admitted that he has been selling addictive substances in a long time. He was then brought to a prison.

In the course of the investigation, a 29-year-old Algerian citizen was also identified. This is said to have been the supplier of the 22-year-old. The 29-year-old was arrested on October 4, during another drug deal. During the personal search, the officials found 500 grams of cannabis, a fake ID and another mobile phone. The suspect refused to testify in his interrogation. He was also brought to a prison.
