A historical pearl is threatened in Vienna: Khleslplatz in Altmannsdorf is on the verge of extinction! On March 8th at 10:30 a.m. there will be a rally under the motto “Save the Khleslplatz!” held to protest against planned changes to the zoning and development plan. The independent Khleslplatz initiative is deeply concerned about the impending rezoning, which could endanger the village character of this charming place. Speakers from politics, civil society and monument protection will take part in the rally to campaign for the preservation of this historical protection zone. The initiative has collected over 1,000 signatures of support within a few days and is calling for clear measures: They demand that the protection zone remains in place and criticize that the planned changes only serve the economic interests of real estate developers.
