On the first Sunday of Advent, December 1, 2024, the blind pastoral of the Diocese of Linz celebrated an important anniversary: ​​60 years of valuable support for blind and visually impaired people. The celebrations took place in the blind center of the blind and visual impaired association Upper Austria in Linz, where numerous guests from all over Austria, from Vienna to Vorarlberg, were present. Of course, the anniversary was also provided with a symbolic gift. The participants were presented by beautiful wooden bowls, made of cherry wood. These shells are a symbol of the motto of the anniversary celebration: "Joy - fullness - blessing", and should continue to be filled with positive experiences and sense of community. Monika Aufiter, the consultant for the blind pastoral, emphasized the family atmosphere of the celebration, which duly praised the occasion and underlined the importance of support and support within this special community.
