World Cup in the Extreme Enduro: Erzbergrodeo rocks Styria!

Steirischer Erzberg, Österreich - The 29th Red Bull Erzbergrodeo takes place from May 29 to June 1, 2025 on the Styrian Erzberg. This extremely demanding event attracts participants from 41 nations and all continents. A special highlight this year is the first allocation of the Extreme Enduro World Champion World Championship title, like ots.at reported.

The event promises an exciting competition that offers everything from young talents to experienced champions. Over 56 % of the participants are in the age group from 18 to 19 years, which shows that the next generation of drivers is willing to face the challenge.

a record -breaking starter field

On Thursday, the event begins with the Mitas Rocket Ride Steilhang race, in which 300 drivers take part. From this starting field, the 48 fastest drivers qualify for the Rocket Ride Superfinale on Thursday evening. The BlaKläder Iron Road Prolog on Friday and Saturday will follow, in which almost 1,100 participants compete on a 15 -kilometer route. Of these, only the 500 quickest qualification for the main race.

Another part of the events are the Trial Xtreme Challenge, where over 150 drivers try to secure a wildcard starting area. The quality of the drivers will be outstanding with a top-class starting field, which includes 44 world championship titles and 18 Erzbergrodeo victories. The three -time winner Manuel Lettenbichler from Germany (KTM) is considered a favorite.

More top drivers such as Trystan Hart (Can, KTM), Billy Bolt (UK, Husqvarna) and Mario Roman (ESP, Sherco) are also among the favorites. In addition, the two legends Graham Jarvis (UK, KTM) and Taddy Blazusiak (POL, KTM) will be at the start. Rally Dakar 2025 winner Danny Sanders (from, KTM) is among the participants.

extension of the championship structure

The Erzbergrodeo will be introduced to a new era of the extreme enduro world championship in 2025. The allocation of world championship titles, both in the Erzbergrodeo and the Romaniacs, was coordinated in detail last year. According to Speedweek.com this was initiated in response to KTM's withdrawal as the main sponsor of the Hard-Enduro-WM. This realignment was considered highly necessary in order to create an extent of continuity and a strong competitive environment for the drivers.

The FIM had started a tender for a new promoter after the previous promoter Kerschhaggl had withdrawn his support. The initiators Karl Katoch and Martin Freinademetz are working to close a vacuum through the introduction of the new titles caused by the lack of a World Cup ranking. This enables drivers to fight one or two world championship titles: one at the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo and one at the Red Bull Romaniacs.

The Romaniacs will also represent an important event in 2025 by choosing the extreme enduro rally world champion. The participants from over 65 nations can demonstrate their skills in a five -day rally that requires highly technical challenges. This collaboration between Erzbergrodeo and Romaniacs shows the tireless efforts to further promote the extreme enduro. The new divisions in categories should also address a broader participant.

The upcoming days on the Erzberg are supplemented by a massive driver parade, live broadcasts at ServusTV and an extensive supporting program in the marquee with culinary offers, driver meetings as well as award ceremonies and rider parties.
