Wallner before change: Hansa Rostock secures Salzburg talent!

Rostock, Deutschland - Lukas Wallner, the 22-year-old defender, is about to move to Hansa Rostock. The talented defender leaves Hannover 96 after just one year. Wallner was an important service provider at Hannover 96 II last season, but could not prevent the team from relegating from the 3rd league. Hannover does not plan with him for the coming season and let the option spread to an extension of his contract, which expires on June 30th. Now several clubs are interested in Wallner who changes free of charge.

The SC Paderborn, which plays in the 2nd Bundesliga, as well as FC Ingolstadt and Hansa Rostock from the 3rd division are among the interested clubs. While FC Ingolstadt was initially considered a favorite, Hansa Rostock prevailed in the race for Wallner. A move to Rostock could be carried out in the next few days, since only the player's signature is pending. This would make Wallner the second new addition of the club after Florian Carstens, who previously played at SV Wehen Wiesbaden, was signed. Hansa Rostock missed the promotion as fifth in the table last season.

career and services

Wallner only came to Hannover 96 from RB Salzburg at the beginning of last season and played in 25 games for the U23, scoring three goals. In the 2nd Bundesliga he sat four times on the bench, but did not come to an assignment. His experience in Austria includes 63 missions in the second division, in which he contributed two goals and four templates. Wallner also gained international experience with twelve games in the UEFA Youth League and 34 U-international matches.

With the possible switch to Hansa Rostock, Wallner could also go into a key role, because Damian Roßbach, who played for Rostock in the past five years, has not received a new contract and is therefore also looking for a club. Roßbach's family remains in Rostock, which does not exclude a potential return after his career.

transfer balance of the 3rd league

The upcoming change from Wallner is part of a larger movement in the 3rd league. This season shows a diverse transfer overview in which numerous clubs work actively on their cadres. There are currently 364 departures and 369 entrances, with a transfer balance of 4,198,000 euros in the positive area. The departures generated income of 7,838,000 euros, while the expenditure for access was 3,640,000 euros. The market value of the entrances amounts to a total of 3.40 million euros, while the departures have an average market value of 10.98 million euros.

Developments around Lukas Wallner and the general transfer situation illustrate the dynamics in German football, especially in the 3rd league, where clubs strategically try to strengthen their squad for the coming season. The upcoming change of the young talent could show a promising turn for everyone involved.
