A look behind the scenes: ÖSV trainers visit Tyrolit in Schwaz
Before the start of the new World Cup season in Sölden, the team of the Austrian Ski Association (ÖSV) held a special visit to Tyrolit, a long -time sponsor and technology partner. The trip to Schwaz included participation in the production process, in which the coaches were able to experience up close how to produce dividing discs and sanding tools. Led by sporty director Alpin, Herbert Mandl, the head coaches of the women's and men's team, Roland Assinger and Marko Pfeifer, as well as Christian Greber, the head of the service technician, also took part in this informative day.
tyrolit is known for its high -quality products that are also used in professional ski racing. The trainers were particularly interested in the production of grinding agents that are required for the processing of the racing ski. Michael Weis, head of the corporate communication of Tyrolit, led the group through the production facilities and explained the various steps of manufacturing, starting with the correct combination of the grinding grains up to the burning process in large stoves.
insights and personal conversations
After the factory lead, the board members of Tyrolit, Thomas Friess and Matthias Kuprian, had the opportunity to talk about the preparation for the upcoming World Cup season during personal discussions with the coaches. Friess said: "The connection between Tyrolit and ÖSV extends far beyond a classic sponsorship relationship. Trust, commitment and passion are forces that are important in both business and top sport."
Kuprian added that the partnership was a source of pride, since the ÖSV athletes are equipped with Tyrolit products that have already supported many successes at the Olympic Games. "I often follow the races in front of the television and fever with the athletes. I wish you every success in the coming season!"
The sporting director Alpin Herbert Mandl emphasized the importance of strong partners in sports and how Tyrolit supports the athletes both through knowledge and through technology. "It was fascinating to see how the manufacturing processes work and which technologies are used," he said enthusiastically.
The head coaches were also impressed by the complex procedures that are used in the manufacturing facility. Marco Pfeifer, head coach of the men, said that he now had a different reference to the Tyrolite cap after he got to know the production of the grinding stones: "I would not have thought of how much manual work was behind the manufacture."
Christian Greber, the ÖSV boss service, added that the understanding of the products with which the service people work every day had grown enormously by visiting the factory. "It is impressive to see how the compositions and manufacturing processes influence the end result on the ski lags," he said.
