Maria Lassnig, one of the most important artists of the Austrian post -war period, has taken a unique path in their self -portraits and films that revolutionized the perception of the body in art. The focus of the exhibition is on her “Information” work from 1960, which is kept in the art collection of the city of Bregenz. This painting is at the center of the presentation that creates a dialogue between her painting and her creation. Visitors can understand how Lassnig transferred visual concepts from their pictures to films and thereby opened new dimensions of their artistic practice.
