Already two thirds of the population over the age of 15 suffer from a form of chronic diseases ranging from diabetes to high blood pressure to allergies. These diseases often require lifelong treatment and significantly influence the quality of life. Primar Günter Höfle, which leads the Department of Internal Medicine in Bregenz and Hohenems, emphasizes that many of these diseases are not constantly active, but can occur in slopes. In order to raise more awareness of this problem, the “Med concrete” series begins on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, with a focus on the treatment of chronic diseases. The role of internal medicine
