Enjoyment and knowledge: wine tasting in the Möth winery for Lustenau seniors

On October 30, 28 participants from Vorarlberg 50plus Lustenau had the opportunity to visit Mr. Josef Möth's winery in Bregenz. This was a great opportunity to learn more about viticulture and the different varieties. The wine producer received the group personally and gave a deep insight into the vines and the approximately 3.5 hectare wine area.

Mr. Möth explained that old vines are torn out every year and replaced by new, resistant varieties. This shows his commitment to sustainable viticulture and the constant improvement of the quality of its wines. In order for the participants to taste immediately, tables were already covered for the wine tasting in the heated extension. A total of six wines were offered: four white wines, a rosé and a red wine. There was a detailed explanation for each wine that made the experience even more informative for the participants.

The participants were enthusiastic about the wine tasting and enjoyed the afternoon to the fullest. After the tasting, the retreat took place to the Stern inn in Wolfurt, where they ended the day with delicious food and in -depth wine conversations. Special thanks go to Franz Reinbacher for the excellent organization of this excursion as well as the drivers Wilfried and Jürgen, who brought the group there safely. Such events strengthen the community and promote interest in regional products.
