An important aspect is the local bonus, which enables Bregenz citizens to get 45 % of the original price back in the form of health promotions when buying an annual ticket. This has already caused different reactions when passers -by in the city center.

The introduction of this bonus is perceived by Walter as positive. "I don't find the bonus unfair to other communities. I would not find it unfair if the Dornbirner would do it with their indoor pool," he said. For him, such initiatives are a sign of appreciation towards the citizens.

However, I basically find it a bit unfair if you exclude some communities in Vorarlberg." Although she cannot use the bonus herself because she lives directly on the lake, she is not entirely convincing of the idea.

If the other communities want to have this advantage, they should also build a new bathroom," he added with a smile.
