New trees for kindergarten Susi Weigel: Bludenz is getting greener!
In Bludenz, a small but important project has been launched that redesigned the way to the Susi Weigel kindergarten. This week, seven new trees were planted, which not only beautify the surroundings, but should also serve as future shadow donors. The campaign is part of a sustainable initiative that aims to improve the quality of life in the city.
The new planting was carried out by the Stadtgärtner Bludenz team and is another step in the long series of efforts to make public spaces more environmentally friendly. These new green Allen trees, including types such as Spitzhaorn, Berghaorn, red beech, horse chestnut and linden, will not only provide more shadows in the coming years, but also contribute to combating the heat, as Mayor Simon Tschann explains.
a better environment for children
"With such plantings we want to make the kindergarten and school sector more heat-resistant and more pleasant for the children," says Tschann. The goal is to keep the city of Bludenz worth living in the future. This is not only a question of aesthetics, but also the functionality of the urban environment.
The planting campaign underlines Bludenz's commitment to a greener and more child -friendly city. Due to the use of different tree species, not only an atmospheric improvement is sought, but also a higher resilience compared to extreme weather conditions, which is becoming increasingly important in times of climate change.
With these initiatives, Bludenz is on the right track to create a livable environment for the next generation. "We are proud to make a small but significant contribution to a more sustainable city," concluded the mayor.
