On November 29, the host school for tourism professions (Gascht) in Bezau opens its doors from 1.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The exciting motto of the day is "Harry Potter", which causes a lot of enthusiasm in advance.

The event is organized in cooperation with the BEWAUS business schools and follows the footsteps of a similar information day, which was already taking place in Hohenems. There visitors were able to experience an impressive mixture of creativity and hospitality. The Gascht is known for its practical training and shows on the open day how lively and varied vocational training in tourism can be.

On November 29, the Gascht premises will be transformed into a magical scenery that is reminiscent of the world of Hogwarts. The pupils: Inside, there were great effort to lead visitors to themed rooms such as the "dripping boiler". Here you can try delicacies such as mandrings and tarte flambee as well as sweet "Hufflepuffs". Alcohol-free “mocktails” and the popular butter beer are offered on a specially designed Harry Potter bar. The young people also present flambier art and bring a Quidditch field to life. A special highlight will be the chocolate 3D printer that produces original sweet works.

The Gascht currently forms around 250 students: inside at their locations in Bezau, Bludenz and Hohenems. Practical experiences and creative offers are in the foreground. The varied program enables the students to get to know the region's leisure activities inside, for example when bouldering or in the high ropes course. The future host professionals report these experiences to the guests on the open house.

Another interesting element of the training is the "Joyce Days" that receive special attention. These enable the pupil to choose from a variety of election modules on Friday afternoons. Diverse interests are promoted, be it in the areas of languages, event management or even food 3D printing. This is how the pupils learn: interlocking, such as gastronomy, hotel industry and travel.

The offer ranges from language courses in Spanish and French to creative cake design or patisserie. For coffee lovers: Inside there is the Barista module that offers insights into the fascinating world of coffee. Particular attention is also paid to training as a young beer sommelier, in cooperation with the Mohrenbrauerei Dornbirn. Here the students learn: Inside everything about beer production and brewing techniques and conclude with an exam.

The Gascht promotes individuality and gives its students the opportunity to optimally develop their talents. On the open day in Bezau, guests experience how diverse and informative training can be in the tourism fallow. A visit is definitely worth it!
